D and Z Media Acquisition Corp. (NYSE:DNZ) announced this afternoon that its special meeting, originally scheduled for 12:00 p.m. today, was convened and then adjourned, without conducting any business, to 1:30 p.m. on December 19.

As of now, DNZ has a completion deadline of January 28, 2023, but is hoping to seek shareholder approval to add an extra nine months to its timeline to obtain a new deadline of October 31, 2023. In light of the adjournment, DNZ has also extended the deadline for stockholders to submit their shares for redemption until December 15.

The SPAC announced the pricing of its $250M IPO in January 2021. Although DNZ has not yet announced a business combination, it hopes to combine with a business in the media or education technology (“ed-tech”) industry.
