Model Performance Acquisition Corp. (MPAC) Adjourns Vote for MultiMetaVerse Deal

Model Performance Acquisition Corp  (NASDAQ:MPAC) announced in an 8-K that today’s special meeting to approve its $300 million combination with MultiMetaVerse has been adjourned to December 28.

The SPAC did not disclose why the meeting was adjourned, but as of its last vote date on September 28, Model Performance had received requests to redeem a total of 3,508,994 shares, representing 61.03% of its trust.

Model Performance initially inked its deal with MultiMetaVerse in August 2021. MultiMetaVerse does not have a clear presence on the English internet, but according to MPAC’s 8-K filing, it is a Hong Kong-based company with wholly owned subsidiaries Mi Ting Culture, Creativity Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Jupiter Creative Design Co. Ltd.

The company hopes to close the business combination on or about December 30.
