Latest SPAC News: Digital World names new CFO, ConnectM announces its MELI-Mobility hardware passes standard test
Trump-backed SPAC Digital World names new CFO
Digital World Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:DWAC), a blank-check firm that is set to merge with former U.S. President Donald Trump’s media and technology company, on Thursday named Katherine Chiles as its chief financial officer.
The development comes after Digital World in March ousted Chief Executive Patrick Orlando, saying that due to “unprecedented headwinds faced by the company” the board had agreed to select a new management team.

ConnectM Technology Solutions, Inc., a vertically integrated clean energy technology and solutions provider for buildings and all-electric OEMs, today announced its MELI-Mobility (Vehicle Control Unit) hardware product has passed every standard test in India in the first iteration without any re-tests and validations. The tests were conducted by ARAI, a prime Testing and Certification Agency notified by Government of India under Rule 126 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989. All Auto OEMs must confirm certain safety and regulatory standards on vehicles sold in India
As previously announced on January 3, 2023, ConnectM signed a definitive business combination agreement with Monterey Capital Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MCAC), a special purpose acquisition company, that will result in a newly combined company to be publicly listed if such transaction is consummated.
