LatAmGrowth SPAC announced the pricing of its $130 million IPO and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “LATGU” Tuesday, January 25.
The new SPAC intends to focus its search on high-growth companies in Latin America, including Brazil, as well as businesses located in the United States that cater to the Hispanic community: (1) with significant technological advantages, and/or (2) that are well-positioned to benefit from the favorable structural and secular trends of the emerging middle class. LatAmGrowth SPAC is led by CEO and CFO Gerard Cremoux, CIO Gerardo Mendoza, and Chairman of the Board Eduardo Cortina.
Total SPAC deal count for 2022 year-to-date is now 23. This offering is expected to close on Thursday, January 27.
BofA Securities and BTG Pactual are acting as the joint book-running managers for the offering. Shearman & Sterling LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. Marcum LLP serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
