Audit Committees Urged to Keep Tabs on SPAC Reporting, Turnover

The US audit regulator, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, released on Wednesday a list of questions and topics that corporate boards should consider reviewing with their auditor. The topics cover cybersecurity risks, auditors’ use of technology, and fraud risks.

Singapore Delivery Rivals Form Alliance to Shape Gig Workers Law

Singapore’s biggest mobile apps have set aside their rivalry to form an unlikely partnership, hoping to strengthen their influence with the local government as it considers laws that could transform the gig economy.

Grab Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ:GRAB), Delivery Hero SE’s Foodpanda and Deliveroo Plc, three usually fierce rivals in meal delivery, have created the Digital Platforms Industry Association, they said in a statement on Thursday. They are joining up formally for the first time to help shape guidelines that protect the health and safety of delivery workers.

Altimeter Growth Corp. secured shareholder approval of its combination with Asian ride-hailing service Grab in a special meeting held in November 2021.
