SilverBox Corp. III (SBXC) Prices Upsized $120M IPO

SilverBox Corp. III priced its upsized $120 million IPO and its units are expected to begin trading on the NYSE under the symbol “SBXC.U” Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The new SPAC intends to acquire one or more businesses with an aggregate enterprise value in excess of $750 million in an industry where it believes the expertise of its management team and its advisory group will provide it with a competitive advantage in completing a successful initial business combination.

SilverBox III is led by Chairman of the Board Stephen Kadency, CEO Joseph Reece, Chief Investment Officer Duncan Murdoch, COO Jin Chun, and CFO Daniel E. Esters, and General Counsel David Lee.

Total SPAC deal count for 2023 year-to-date is now 7. This offering is expected to close on Thursday, March 2.


Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC is acting as sole book-running manager. Paul Hastings LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Shearman & Sterling LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. Grant Thornton LLP serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
